About SPT

Seoul Premium Textile (SPT) is a unique business platform where Korean textile companies showcase advanced textiles demanded by global brands and fashion retailers.

The event is sponsored by the South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy under the Korean government.

The exhibition displays the advanced textiles created by Korean fiber companies, aligned with domestic and international trends, from yarn to fabric, featuring companies that have received acclaim at overseas textile fairs such as Première Vision in Paris and Unica in Milan. The event serves as a platform for buyer consultations, procurement discussions, and product evaluations. It supports the development of products that align with market demand and provides business opportunities.

A Decade of History

It was first discussed and launched at the 'Cooperation Council Between Fashion and Textile' in 2014, which brought together CEOs from leading Korean domestic companies in the textile and fashion sectors. Since that year, it has been actively pursued as a key collaboration project, leading to expanded domestic procurement between textile, fashion and vendor companies, as well as joint development of new products. This has resulted in substantial business outcomes that grow every year.

The fair was initiated to encourage cooperation among yarn and fabric companies by facilitating collaboration when buyers present ideas for product development during procurement consultations, with the aim of promoting the principle of mutual prosperity across different sectors.

Our Mission

We seek to improve the competitiveness of local materials and fashion products through collaborative fabric development and sharing demand information on advanced textiles.

We are dedicated to proactively responding the needs of global retailers for advanced textiles. We achieve this by connecting leading textile companies with advanced fabric development capabilities to companies that need these materials. This creates opportunities for collaboration and technological development among textile and fashion companies.

We strive to develop a market-oriented product development ecosystem by leveraging opportunities to provide rapid access to trend information sought by global brands for companies in midstream and upstream sectors, enabling them to create products and enhance collaboration across streams.

Our Sustainability

We aim to promote the competitiveness of manufacturing industries by encouraging the adoption of eco-friendly and efficient production practices in line with the global shift towards higher sustainability standards.

We endorse the use of materials that decrease carbon emissions, and reduce water and energy usage during production. We also promote the development of eco-certified and biodegradable textiles, and functional natural fabrics with the goal of ensuring competitiveness for the future.
